Bonnie’s

From LA to BK, it's all love. Finery got down with Calvin Eng of Bonnie's to design a custom shirt for his Williamsburg spot serving up his much lauded Cantonese American food. We had a huge respect for what he was doing back east with food and apparently he felt the same of us when it came to our Anti-Uniforms out west.

We wanted to highlight our shared Asian-American backgrounds. We took inspiration from the Chinatowns of the early 1900s to present day- the pinks of the pastry boxes being run down the street in front of the red lanterns above was the only visual we needed when designing this shirt

Worst uniform you’ve ever had to wear?

I usually like uniforms because i don't have to think about what to wear lol. in high school i was a banquet server for weddings, bar mitzvahs, events etc and I would have to wear a tux that they supplied. it was so baggy and crazy looking on me it was wild

What do you usually wear when you’re not behind a fire?

my mom, dads or sisters old clothes. or restaurant merch of places i fuck with

1 piece of clothing you can’t live without?

a hat. if i'm in a rush this hair needs one. if i'm working with food i'm always wearing one anyway

1 inspiring thing you saw this week?

my mom had a speed pourer on her soy sauce bottles
