Our Commitment to Sustainable Uniforms
Finery cares deeply about the effect our business has on our community and environment, and view every decision through the lens of the entire product life cycle, from manufacturing to delivery. Always examining and looking to improve the brand’s operational processes, we know that even small, thoughtful changes can have a positive and reverberating impact.
Labor
There is no front of house without the back of house, and we apply this thinking to the way we design and how we run our own business, in which we prioritize fair treatment of all our colleagues, collaborators, and artisans.
Each manufacturing partner is an extension of our company and we approach all its employees as members of the Finery family.
We visit regularly with all our manufacturing partners to ensure workers are treated fairly and provided a safe and supportive environment.
Manufacturing
We aim to minimize waste and energy usage wherever possible throughout the manufacturing process. Most of our collection is exclusively Made in the USA, manufactured locally in Los Angeles, creating a smaller carbon footprint while bolstering the local economy.
Materials
We utilize natural fibers that age well and are easy to care for. We also offer Linen, RPET, and organic fabric alternatives. Finery never uses any animal-derived materials such as furs, leather, or feather. Deadstock fabrics are used when possible, giving a second life to quality materials that were heading to the landfill.
-
We develop sustainable uniforms using responsibly sourced materials and production processes that prioritize durability and longevity. Sustainable work uniforms are designed to reduce replacement frequency and overall waste over time.
A significant portion of our manufacturing is done locally in Los Angeles, which reduces transportation impact and allows for closer oversight of production quality and working conditions.
Material selection focuses on fabrics such as organic cotton, recycled fibers, and lower-impact materials where appropriate, ensuring uniforms maintain both performance and presentation.

Yes. We partner with manufacturers that meet established environmental and labor standards. This includes responsible sourcing and production processes that reduce waste and resource use.
These partnerships support both custom and structured uniform programs.
-
Yes. Sustainable uniforms do not require a compromise in quality or appearance. Many sustainable fabrics offer durability and a refined finish comparable to conventional materials.
Through both Finery Studio and Finery Core, uniforms are developed to meet the same standards as all other custom uniforms.
-
Transitioning to a sustainable supplier typically begins with reviewing your current uniform program. From there, materials and production methods can be adjusted while maintaining consistency.
This can be implemented through Finery Core for existing systems or through Finery Studio for a fully redesigned approach.
-
Some may have a higher upfront cost depending on the materials used. However, durable construction often reduces replacement frequency, which can balance long-term cost.
We structure both Finery Studio and Finery Core programs to align with budget while incorporating sustainable options where possible.
-
Yes. We provide documentation for materials and production standards where required. This supports internal reporting and broader sustainability commitments.
All manufacturing partners are certified and audited regularly to ensure continued compliance with environmental and labor standards.
This applies across both bespoke and structured uniform programs.
